One of my favorite real estate brokers in Bangkok. This small agency is run by a lovely young laddy: Tuk. She helped me to find a nice 3 BR apartment around lower Sukhumvit Road. Well, actually I was looking for a 2 BR around 40k to 50k Thai Baht. Once I told her what I was looking for she lined up 10 properties for me to look at within just one day. All of the properties she showed me great, but most of them a bit more expensive than my initial budget. Actually, in that one day tour she showed me more interesting objects than all other real estate brokers have showed me over several weeks. If you look for a upscale Bangkok condominium for rent, I would recommend contacting Tuk. I am sure she will take good care of her customers.
Dining in Bangkok

Sometimes I am looking for new restaurants to visit for a special dining experience in Bangkok. Most websites geared at foreigners are full of paid ads and one-sided paid reviews that continue to write about the same advertisers all the time. Dining in Thailand is a nice exception from this rule. It features short reviews and their own photos from BKK restaurants sorted by type of cuisine. Further information about dress codes, Wifi access, MSG use and pricing level are provided in a handy paragraph on the left hand sidebar. Thai webistes directory is another list of Bangkok restaurants, but it is limited to those with an internet address.

This is more than just a Shopping Center: Siam Paragon is Bangkok's newest mega mall shining with the most expensive goods you can imagine. Wanna buy a Porsche or a Maserati? Sure, most luxury car importers have set up shops on the third floor as well as upscale fashion brands like Chanel and Hermes. A huge department store, tech and consumer outlets, cutting edge large screen digital cinemas and a sea aquarium in the basement are just a few things you can expect in this great mall. While many other Bangkok shopping markets host many smaller stores and booth, Siam Paragon is all about being huge and prestigious. A way of Thai people to get away from the cheap goods reaching out for high end expensive qulity brands like known from Singapore and Tokyo. The outdoor area is frequently used for media events, concerts and fashion shows.

One of the fastest and safest ways of moving around Bangkok City is a train called BTS Skytrain. The rails run on an elevated track 10 meters above the streets. There are 2 lines that run across the Thai capital from 5 am until midnight. Plans and schedules are published on all tourist maps. BTS offer one-way trips starting from just 15 Baht for the distance of one station. Day passes are available for 100 Baht and long time tourist as well as local residents usually prefer to use stored value cards that can be recharged on demand at every BTS station.

Patpong

Patpong is a busting place at night. Countless vendors sell souvenirs, bags, clothes, shoes, jewelry and watches. Hustlers try to lure first time tourist into dark corners with seedy bars. Actually, the bars are the main attraction for single male travelers who want to enjoy booze and watching scantily clad agogo dancers inside the neon-lit bars with seductive names like 'Super Pussy' and 'Electric Blue'. Many bars have very attractive 'ladies', but be aware a lot of the gorgeous ladies inside the bars have been men before they underwent gender change surgery. If you can't hold back from visiting those bars, watch your bill. These places are known for bill padding for shows and ladydrinks.
